Yastika Bhatia is a dynamic left-handed wicketkeeper-batter from Baroda who has rapidly become one of Indian women’s cricket’s most promising young talents. The 25-year-old is a natural athlete with a black belt in karate and a background in swimming and badminton, but cricket has been her true calling. She was enrolled in the Youth Service Centre in Baroda at just eight years old and made her Under-19 debut for Baroda at the age of 11, steadily rising through the ranks with standout performances including a 63-ball 125 in the Under-23 T20 Trophy. Her international breakthrough came in 2021 with debuts across all formats on the tour of Australia, and she has since featured in an ODI World Cup, two T20 World Cups, and earned a Commonwealth Games silver medal. Bhatia’s talent was recognized in the WPL auction where Mumbai Indians secured her for INR 1.5 crore after a fierce bidding war. With her aggressive batting, safe glovework, and relentless work ethic, she is a vital part of India’s white-ball setup.
