Smriti Mandhana is one of the best opening batters in women’s cricket today. She bats left-handed and is known for her elegant style, perfect timing, and powerful shot-making. Mandhana started playing for her home state Maharashtra when she was just 13 years old and became the team captain at 16. She made her international debut for India in 2013. Over the years, she has broken many records. She was the first Indian woman to score centuries in all three formats of the game. In 2024, she scored 1659 international runs, which broke a 28-year-old record. The next year, she became the first woman to score over 1000 runs in ODIs in a single calendar year. She also led Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women to their first WPL title in 2024, making history for the franchise.
