The former India captain visited the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal with his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, to offer prayers during the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations. Dressed traditionally, the couple approached the flower-adorned idol as thousands gathered at the pandal chanted his name and captured the moment on their phones.

Visits to the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal during the ten-day festival are a familiar devotional tradition for athletes and public figures in Mumbai. For Sharma, who trains at the Mumbai Cricket Association facility in Bandra-Kurla Complex, the appearance carried added resonance as he prepares for the upcoming limited-overs assignments.
The outing follows his return to training ahead of the three-match ODI series against West Indies, which begins September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram. Sharma had been working on his fitness and batting at the BKC facility, drawing praise from supporters who see his commitment as a promising sign for India’s limited-overs campaign.
