Race Heats Up: CSK Join KKR in Pursuit of Hardik Pandya Trade

Hardik Pandya is the name on everyone’s lips. And now, Chennai Super Kings have joined the race to sign him.

The Mumbai Indians all-rounder is being chased by multiple IPL teams ahead of the 2027 season. According to reports, seven franchises have shown interest. The only ones not in the race are Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Chennai Super Kings are now actively discussing a possible trade with Mumbai Indians. Talks are reportedly at an early stage. CSK could offer players like Shivam Dube, Khaleel Ahmed, or young Ayush Mhatre as part of the deal.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals are also in the running. KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly been pushing hard for an all-cash deal. The Royals, too, are believed to be keen on adding Hardik’s firepower to their squad.

Hardik is a proven match-winner. He led Gujarat Titans to a title in 2022 and has been a key player for India in recent ICC tournaments. His ability to finish games and bowl crucial overs makes him a rare asset. Any team would want him.

No deal is confirmed yet. The trade window is expected to open in late June or early July. Things could move quickly once that happens.

For now, the battle for Hardik Pandya is getting more interesting. And the biggest names in the IPL are all in the fight.
