In Windrose, Piastres serve as the primary in-game currency. They are mostly used for essential progression like purchasing Ship Blueprints, Crafting Materials such as Smithing Flux, Master’s Tools, and Sewing Tools and many other ways.
Are you running low on Piastres? Don’t worry I got you covered. In this guide I have explained everything you need, so that you never feel short on Piastres again.
How to Farm Piastres in Windrose

Early game, most of your currency comes from main and side quests, so try not to skip any of them. Clear nearby side missions as you move through new areas and gather Piastres as much as you can.
Once you start encountering different factions, consider trading goods as another source of Piastres. Keep your reputation moving upward during your playthrough. Higher reputation makes trading more consistent, so you don’t have to solemnly depend only on quest rewards.
You’ll collect plenty of items by defeating enemies and discovering things around Windrose. Sell extra loot for quick money, but be selective. Keep materials that you might need for crafting or upgrades later.
While exploring, you will occasionally come across buried treasure. It is not something you should actively farm, but when you do find one, the payout is solid.
By reaching mid game, naval combat becomes your strongest farming method. Look for patrols that include Transport or Hauler ships. Instead of destroying them, weaken the ship, board it, and clear the enemies on deck. These ships contain loot which you can sell for some hefty Piastres gain.
Alternative Ways to Get Piastres in Windrose
Beyond direct farming, a large portion of your Piastres will come from trading items into currency, especially during mid game.
There is always an option of selling Guineas in Smuggler Provisioner for 20 Piastre each. It works well if you are not focusing on cosmetics, style books, or building items.

The bigger profit comes from selling loot to Faction Buyers. Each faction pays for specific items you collect during naval battles.
The following table shows typical payouts for high-value items when sold to faction buyers (based on in-game listings by method.gg).
| Item | Buyer | Source | Selling Price |
| Contraband | Smugglers of Port Royal | Naval combat (Spoils & Boarding) | 150 Piastre |
| Luxuries | Smugglers of Port Royal | Naval combat (Boarding) | 250 Piastre |
| Spirits | Rogue Buccaneers | Naval combat (Boarding) | 50 Piastre |
| Munitions | Rogue Buccaneers | Naval combat (Boarding) | 100 Piastre |
| Provisions | People of Tortuga | Naval combat (Spoils & Boarding) | 50 Piastre |
| Medicine | People of Tortuga | Naval combat (Spoils & Boarding) | 100 Piastre |
| Naval Supplies | Brethren of the Coast | Naval combat (Spoils & Boarding) | 150 Piastre |
| Specialized Tools | Brethren of the Coast | Naval combat (Spoils & Boarding) | 250 Piastre |
If you want to farm Piastre consistently in Windrose, use quests and trading as your sources of profit in early game. Once you advance further into mid-game, focus your attention on naval combat and selling valuable loot to the correct buyers.
