IPL 2026 Playoffs Race: RCB and SRH Need One More Win, DC in Must-Win Zone

IPL 2026 Playoffs Race

The IPL 2026 league stage is reaching its final stretch. Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants are out of the playoffs race. Now eight teams are fighting for the remaining four spots. With 16 matches still to play, here is how each team stands and what they need to qualify.

Points Table at a Glance

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB are at the top with 14 points from 11 games. One more win will almost secure their playoff spot. Two wins will confirm it. If they win all three remaining matches, they can finish with 20 points and aim for a top-two finish.

Remaining matches- vs KKR (Raipur), vs PBKS (away), vs SRH (away)

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH have also collected 14 points from 11 matches. Their batting has been very strong this season. One win from their last three games should be enough to qualify. Three wins will take them to 20 points and a possible top-two finish.

Remaining matches- vs GT (away), vs CSK (away), vs RCB (home)

Gujarat Titans

GT are third with 14 points. They have won four matches in a row. Two of their last three games are at home. If they win those matches, they will be in the top four. Winning all three could even give them a top-two spot.

Remaining matches- vs SRH (home), vs KKR (away), vs CSK (home)

Punjab Kings

PBKS started very well. They went unbeaten in seven matches. But they have now lost three straight games. Still, they have 13 points from 10 matches and a good net run rate. Their next three games are at home in Dharamsala. Two wins from their last four matches should be enough to qualify.

Remaining matches- vs DC (home), vs MI (home), vs RCB (home), vs LSG (away)

Chennai Super Kings

CSK had a poor start but have won six of their last eight matches. They now have 12 points from 11 games. Winning all three remaining matches will take them to 18 points and secure a spot. Two wins should also be enough. One win would leave them at 14 points and needing help from other results.

Remaining matches- vs LSG (away), vs SRH (home), vs GT (away)

Rajasthan Royals

RR won their first four matches but have lost five of their last seven. They are sixth with 12 points. Their remaining matches are against teams already out of the race. This gives them a good chance. They likely need at least two wins from their last three games to stay in control.

Remaining matches- vs DC (away), vs LSG (home), vs MI (away)

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR are on a four-match winning streak. But they lost five of their first six games. They now have nine points from 10 matches. They must win all four remaining games to reach 17 points. Even then they need other results to go their way. One defeat will make qualification very difficult.

Remaining matches- vs RCB (away), vs GT (home), vs MI (home), vs DC (home)

Delhi Capitals

DC are still mathematically alive with eight points from 11 matches. But they need to win all three remaining games. Even then they will only reach 14 points. They will also need many other results to fall in their favour. One more loss will end their season.
