“He does everything, lovely left-arm spin, can bat with grit, and is an excellent fielder. He lifts the team with his energy,” Boycott said. He was joined on the podcast by fellow former England captains Michael Vaughan and Sir Alastair Cook.

In the IPL, he has been a cornerstone of Chennai Super Kings‘ success, contributing with both bat and ball in pressure situations. His recent performances include a three-wicket haul and an unbeaten 34 in India’s ODI series win over England, and another three-wicket haul in the subsequent T20I series.
