Kranti Gaud is a fast-bowling allrounder from Madhya Pradesh whose journey to professional cricket is as remarkable as her rise through the ranks. The 22-year-old from Chhindwara grew up playing tennis-ball cricket with the boys, often to the displeasure of her neighbours, until a chance encounter at a ground in Ghuwara changed her life forever. When a team was a player short, she stepped in, starred with both bat and ball, and won the Player-of-the-Match award. Her raw speed and athleticism caught the attention of coach Rajiv Bilthre, who honed her skills and transformed her into a genuine allrounder. Gaud made her senior debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2023-24 and was instrumental in the state’s first domestic one-day title in 2024-25.
