Shreyas Gopal is a right-handed batsman and legbreak bowler from Bangalore who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket. He started his career as a middle-order batsman who could also bowl legspin, but soon became the team’s lead spinner. In his first Ranji Trophy season, he took 22 wickets and helped Karnataka win the title in 2013-14. He even took a hat-trick in the Irani Cup. Shreyas made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2014. His best IPL season came in 2019 when he took 20 wickets for Rajasthan Royals. Later, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and then Chennai Super Kings picked him for IPL 2025. Known for getting sharp turn from the pitch, Shreyas is also a solid batsman with two first-class hundreds to his name.
