Zimbabwe | All Rounder
Faraz Akram is a left-handed batting allrounder from Zimbabwe who has steadily built a reputation as a reliable contributor across formats. The 32-year-old was born in Jedda, Saudi Arabia to Pakistani parents and moved with his family to Zimbabwe in 2000, growing up in Harare where his father worked at the Pakistan embassy. He made his first-class debut for Rising Stars at the 2017-18 Logan Cup, taking 12 wickets in six games, and has since become a consistent performer for Mashonaland Eagles. Akram received his maiden national call-up in 2020 for a white-ball tour to Pakistan, making his T20I debut in November of that year, though he had to wait over three years for his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in early 2024. With 91 first-class wickets and a best of 4 for 23, along with useful lower-order batting contributions including a highest score of 97, Akram brings valuable all-round balance to any side he represents.
