England | Bowling All Rounder
Father: James Alexander Carse
Brydon Carse is a strapping fast-medium bowler from South Africa who has become an integral part of England’s pace attack across formats. The 30-year-old, who qualifies for England through his UK passport and completed his residency in 2019, has overcome injury setbacks to establish himself as a genuine allrounder at the highest level. After impressing in England’s ODI series against Pakistan in 2021 with a five-wicket haul, Carse’s career trajectory accelerated when he earned a place in the ODI World Cup squad in India as an injury replacement. His true breakthrough came during the 2024-25 Test tour of Pakistan, where his stamina and pace proved decisive on lifeless Multan wickets, followed by a ten-wicket display against New Zealand in Christchurch. Though a toe injury sidelined him ahead of IPL 2025 after Sunrisers Hyderabad picked him up for INR 1 crore, he retained his value with SRH retaining him for the 2026 season. The son of former Northamptonshire player James Carse, Brydon has developed into a bowler who hits the deck hard and contributes valuable lower-order runs.
