Akeal Hosein is a left-arm spinner from Trinidad who has become a key player for West Indies in limited-overs cricket. He is known for bowling very accurately, especially in the powerplay, making life difficult for batters. Hosein was a late bloomer in international cricket, making his debut at 27 after several senior players pulled out of a tour. But he quickly proved his worth. He has since played in T20 leagues all over the world and was picked by Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2026. Apart from his bowling, Hosein can also hit big runs down the order, including a famous 44 not out from number 11 in a T20I against England.
