Mumbai Indians have suffered a double blow as two of their key players are out for the rest of the season.

Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa will not play any further matches in IPL 2026 because of injuries. Both players have been ruled out of the tournament.

De Kock hurt his left wrist before the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The South African wicketkeeper batter suffered a tendon injury. He last played on April 23, where he smashed 132 runs in three innings. His best knock was 112 not out against Punjab Kings.


Raj Bawa, the young all rounder from Chandigarh, hurt his right thumb during the last match against Punjab Kings. He has a ligament tear. The 23 year old former Under-19 India player featured in three games this season, which is the same number he played last year.

Mumbai Indians said both players are now at home resting and recovering. The team will bring in replacements according to IPL rules, the franchise confirmed.

Mumbai Indians are already out of the race for the playoffs. They are currently ninth on the points table. They have won only four out of their 12 matches. Their net run rate is -0.504.

The team still has two games left this season. They will face Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday (May 20) in Kolkata. Their final match is against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday (May 24) in Mumbai.
