KKR Becomes Most Valuable IPL Team, Edges Past Mumbai and Chennai
The latest Fanatic Sports Hurun report has named Kolkata Knight Riders as the most valuable franchise in the Indian Premier League. KKR’s value is estimated between ₹19,200 crore and ₹22,500 crore.

Mumbai Indians are not far behind. They are valued between ₹18,400 crore and ₹21,700 crore. Chennai Super Kings are third with a valuation of ₹18,400 crore to ₹20,700 crore.
Sunrisers Hyderabad sit in fourth place. Their value is between ₹17,500 crore and ₹18,400 crore. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are fifth at ₹16,700 crore.
Together, all ten IPL teams are worth ₹1.63 lakh crore. That is a huge number and shows how much the league has grown over the years.
The report has started a fresh debate among fans. Many are discussing what really makes a club “big” in the IPL.
Sunrisers fans have been quick to mock RCB for being placed below them in value. But RCB supporters have a strong reply. They point to the massive victory parade in Bengaluru after their 2025 IPL title win. They also say their team commands single-team loyalty across the whole state of Karnataka.
The rivalry is not just online. The two teams will face each other in a key playoff match of IPL 2026 on May 22 in Hyderabad. That game will add more spice to this heated debate.
