Gujarat Titans Add Vijay Dahiya as Assistant Coach Ahead of IPL 2026
The Gujarat Titans have further strengthened their coaching roster with the appointment of former India wicketkeeper-batter Vijay Dahiya as assistant coach for the upcoming IPL 2026 season, the franchise announced on Wednesday (March 11).
Dahiya, who represented India in 2 Tests and 19 ODIs, brings extensive coaching experience to the Titans’ setup. The former Delhi player was part of the coaching staff that guided Delhi to the Ranji Trophy title in 2007-08. In the IPL, he previously served as assistant coach at Kolkata Knight Riders, playing a role in their championship-winning campaigns in 2012 and 2014.
His IPL journey also includes stints as head talent scout at Delhi Capitals in 2019 and assistant coach at Lucknow Super Giants.
Dahiya’s arrival comes hot on the heels of the Titans appointing Australian great Matthew Hayden as batting coach earlier this week, signaling the franchise’s intent to build a formidable support staff.
Since their IPL debut in 2022, Gujarat Titans have established themselves as one of the tournament’s most consistent sides, winning the title in their maiden season and reaching the playoffs in three of their first four campaigns.
