Palash Muchhal Visits Temples for Peace Amid Cheating and Caste Abuse Case

Muchhal captioned the photos with a simple message: “Jahan sir jhuka, wahan sukoon mila.” He also mentioned the names of the temples he visited. However, he chose to turn off the comments on his post, possibly to avoid negative reactions.
What is the case against him?
A complaint has been filed against Muchhal by Vidnyan Mane, who is a childhood friend of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The complaint was filed in Sangli, Maharashtra, in January 2026.
According to the complaint, Mane invested money in a film project after Muchhal promised good returns. Here are the key details:
- Muchhal allegedly took ₹25 lakh from Mane as an investment for a film called Nazaria.
- He promised a profit of ₹12 lakh once the film released on OTT platforms.
- He also promised Mane a role in the movie.
- Over time, Mane claims he gave a total of ₹40 lakh to Muchhal.
What went wrong?
The film project was never completed. When Mane asked for his money back, he says he got no response. He also alleges that Muchhal used caste-based abusive language against him during their meetings. Because of this, the complaint includes charges under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Mane has also accused Muchhal of cheating. He first approached the Sangli police in January 2026 and requested that an official case be registered.
What happens now?
While the legal process is ongoing, Muchhal shared his temple visit pictures. His message seemed to suggest he is looking for peace. But the case against him continues, and more details are expected to come out in the coming days.
