Gujarat Giants Bring in Jintimani Kalita as Injury Replacement for Titas Sadhu in WPL
The Gujarat Giants have been forced into a squad change midway through the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) season, with Jintimani Kalita replacing the injured Titas Sadhu.
Right-arm seamer Titas Sadhu has been ruled out of the remainder of WPL 2026 due to an unspecified injury. Sadhu, who has struggled with fitness issues in recent years, was yet to feature for the Giants this season and has played only seven matches across the tournament’s three editions.
Kalita, a left-handed batting all-rounder who bowls right-arm medium pace, joins the Giants for a fee of ₹10 lakh. She brings valuable WPL experience, having been part of the Mumbai Indians squad during their title-winning campaigns in 2023 and 2025, featuring in 13 matches across those seasons.
The move aims to bolster Gujarat’s all-round options as they look to improve their standing in the competition.
