Sandeep Sharma is a seasoned right-arm medium pacer known for his exceptional accuracy, swing bowling, and ability to bowl economical spells, particularly at the death. The 33-year-old from Patiala, Punjab, first gained recognition as part of India’s Under-19 squad that won the 2012 World Cup in Australia, where he finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker for India with 12 wickets, including four in the final. His IPL journey began with Kings XI Punjab in 2013, where he became their highest wicket-taker across multiple seasons before moving to Sunrisers Hyderabad and later Rajasthan Royals. Despite a brief international stint in 2015, Sandeep has carved out a remarkable IPL career, consistently delivering with the new ball and in the death overs. His ability to swing the ball both ways and maintain tight lines has made him one of the most reliable Indian pace bowlers in the tournament, with Rajasthan Royals retaining him ahead of both the 2025 and 2026 mega auctions as a testament to his enduring value.
