Nathan Ellis is an Australian fast medium bowler known for his clever yorkers and change of pace. The 31-year-old from New South Wales took an unusual path to professional cricket. He worked as a landscape gardener, a labourer, and a teacher’s aide while playing club cricket. But his hard work paid off. He broke into the Hobart Hurricanes side in 2021 and soon made his T20I debut for Australia, where he took a hat-trick in his very first match. Ellis has since become a world-class T20 bowler. In 2023, he took more T20 wickets than anyone else on the planet. He also captained the Hurricanes to their first BBL title in 2025. In the IPL, he has played for Punjab Kings and now turns out for Chennai Super Kings.
