Father: David Brook, Mother: Lucy Brook
Harry Brook is a calm yet destructively explosive middle-order batter who has taken the cricketing world by storm since his Test debut in 2022. The 27-year-old from Keighley, Yorkshire, announced himself as one of the game’s most exciting talents with a staggering run of form across the 2022-23 winter, scoring 809 runs in nine Test innings at a strike rate of nearly 99—the best start by any player in Test history. His crowning achievement came in 2024 with a triple-century off just 310 balls in Multan, the second-fastest in Test cricket, adding 454 runs with Joe Root in a record partnership. Brook’s exceptional range of strokes, from powerful drives over midwicket to innovative reverse-scoops, makes him a nightmare for bowlers in all conditions. After being snapped up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 13.25 crore in the 2023 IPL auction, he has become a global T20 star, winning the T20 World Cup with England in 2022 and later being appointed England’s white-ball captain in 2025. A product of Yorkshire’s academy, Brook has risen from promising youngster to world No. 1 in the Test batting rankings, cementing his place as one of the most complete batters of his generation.
