Harleen Deol is an elegant right-handed middle-order batter from Chandigarh who has steadily carved her place in the Indian women’s cricket team. The 28-year-old made her international debut in 2019 and has since showcased her class with both bat and in the field, most notably for a stunning boundary catch on India’s tour of England in 2021 that went viral on social media—leaping high, throwing the ball back in play while falling outside the rope, and diving back in to complete the catch. While her early international career was marked by role uncertainty and being shuffled up and down the order, she finally found her footing in late 2024, making the No. 3 spot her own in ODIs and scoring her maiden international century against West Indies in Vadodara. A capable off-spin bowler who can also bowl leg-break googlies, Deol has been a part of the Women’s Premier League, representing Gujarat Giants, and remains a vital part of India’s white-ball plans across formats.
