David Miller is a hard-hitting middle order batsman from South Africa known for finishing games with big sixes. Born in Pietermaritzburg, this left-handed batter made his name as someone who can clear any boundary with ease. He started playing first-class cricket at just 18 and made his international debut two years later. Miller waited a while to get his first ODI hundred, which finally came in 2015 against West Indies. In T20 cricket, he is a true match-winner. His best IPL season came in 2022 when he scored 481 runs and helped Gujarat Titans win the title. Miller is also a brilliant fielder, making him a complete package in limited-overs cricket. David Miller is a left-handed batsman who plays as a middle order batter. He is best known as a finisher, someone who comes in late in the innings and hits big shots to help his team win.
He has played for several IPL teams over the years. These include Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants. In IPL 2026, he will play for Delhi Capitals.
He made his debut for South Africa in 2010 during the team's tour of the West Indies.
