Bad news rocks Punjab Kings (PBKS) as Glenn Maxwell’s IPL 2025 campaign ends abruptly with a fractured finger, confirmed by captain Shreyas Iyer during the toss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 30 in Chennai. Iyer didn’t mince words: “It’s a real blow that he’s got a fractured finger. We’re still mulling over replacements, but our squad’s spirit and depth keep us solid.” He hinted Maxwell’s season might be done, with versatile players ready to step up.

Teammate Marcus Stoinis spilled the details, saying Maxwell injured his finger at training before the rain-hit Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) game, where he still swung the bat. “He thought it was minor, but scans proved it’s nasty.
