Former India opener Aakash Chopra has once again pushed for bonus points in the IPL. He wants teams to get extra points for winning matches by a big margin. For example, finishing a chase 20 percent faster than the required target could earn a bonus point.

On the other hand, critics point out that Net Run Rate already rewards teams for big wins. They feel bonus points are not needed. They also worry that one match could decide the standings unfairly.
