Rahul Dravid is now the owner of a Cricket Team in Europe
The European T20 Premier League has brought Rahul Dravid on board as the owner of the Dublin franchise. The team will be called Dublin Guardians.
The announcement was made on Monday in Dublin. Both Dravid and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan were present at the event. Bachchan is the promoter of the league.

With Dravid joining, all six teams of the league now have their owners in place. The league will begin in 2026 and will be played in August and September.
The European T20 Premier League is a new cricket event. It is being run with help from Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. The league will have teams from Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam.
Many famous cricket stars are expected to play in the league. Some of them are Mitchell Marsh, Tim David, Mitchell Santner, Liam Livingstone, Glenn Maxwell, Faf du Plessis, and Heinrich Klaasen.
Why did Dravid say yes to this league?
Rahul Dravid shared why he decided to become an owner. He said he liked the bigger goal of the league. He wants to help cricket grow in Europe. He spoke about helping young players through grassroots programs.
Dravid also said Dublin already has a strong cricket community. He feels there is a lot of room for growth. Helping the next generation of players has always been close to his heart. He believes the league can play a good role in that journey.

- Belfast franchise – Glenn Maxwell and Rohan Lund
- Edinburgh franchise – Kyle Mills, Nathan McCullum and Rachel Wiseman
- Glasgow franchise – Vipul Aggarwal and Chris Gayle
- Amsterdam franchise – Steve Waugh, Jamie Dwyer and Tim Thomas
- Rotterdam franchise – Jonty Rhodes, Faf du Plessis, Glashin and Samir Shah, with Madhukar Shree as Managing Partner
The league is set to start soon and fans across Europe are waiting for the action to begin.
