Tim David is a towering 6ft 5in middle-order hitter who has become one of the most feared T20 finishers in world cricket. The 30-year-old was born in Singapore but raised in Western Australia, and his journey to the top is anything but conventional. After being overlooked for a senior state contract, David threw himself into white-ball cricket, playing for Singapore and earning sporadic BBL opportunities before a breakout season with Hobart Hurricanes in 2020-21 launched his global career. Since then, he has become a globetrotting T20 sensation, featuring in leagues across the world and commanding an INR 8.25 crore price tag from Mumbai Indians in the 2022 IPL auction. David’s power-hitting is legendary, he finished the 2022 IPL season with the best-ever strike rate for a batter in a single campaign and his international career has flourished, culminating in a 37-ball century for Australia against West Indies in June 2025, the fastest T20I hundred by an Australian. After switching from seam to off-spin following a stress fracture, he has also developed into a handy bowling option and a reliable fielder in the deep.
