Tom Banton is a right-handed wicketkeeper batter from England who made a strong comeback to international cricket in 2025. Born in Buckinghamshire, the 27-year old first shot to fame as a young player for Somerset with his flashy and powerful stroke play. But the sudden fame and pressure became too much for him early on. He lost form and even started hating the game. Banton worked hard on his basics with coaches like Hashim Amla and rebuilt his career. He became a regular in county cricket and performed well in T20 leagues around the world. Banton has played for many IPL teams including Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. His father Colin and brother Jacques are also cricketers. Banton once moved to Taunton because of Jos Buttler’s influence. He is now back in the England setup and trying to find his place as a finisher in limited overs cricket.
