Sakib Hussain is a promising young right-arm medium pacer from Bihar who has made significant strides in his professional career. The 21-year-old first caught attention when Kolkata Knight Riders picked him up for IPL 2024, though he didn’t get a game that season. After being released, he found a new home with Sunrisers Hyderabad, who bought him for INR 30 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction, and he made an immediate impact with 15 wickets in his debut season for the franchise. Sakib’s domestic record is equally impressive, with 16 wickets in just 6 first-class matches, including a ten-wicket haul with best figures of 6 for 41 and 10 for 99 in a match. His ability to bowl with pace and extract movement has made him a wicket-taking threat across formats, and his performances for Bihar and now Sunrisers Hyderabad suggest a bright future ahead in Indian cricket.
