Richa Ghosh is one of the most explosive wicketkeeper-batters in women’s cricket, known for her ability to finish innings with power and composure. The 22-year-old from Siliguri, West Bengal, began playing cricket alongside boys at her father’s club, honing her skills against fast bowlers from a young age. She made her senior debut for Bengal at just 14 and was the only uncapped player in India’s squad for the 2020 T20 World Cup at 16. Ghosh’s international career has since flourished, with memorable performances including a fifty in a Test win against Australia in 2023 and a crucial 94 against South Africa in the 2025 World Cup. In franchise cricket, she has been a standout performer, playing a starring role in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s WPL 2024 title win with 257 runs and 13 dismissals behind the stumps. Having also featured in the WBBL and the Hundred, Ghosh has established herself as one of the most dynamic and reliable players in the global women’s game.
