Qais Ahmad is a highly accomplished leg-spinner from Afghanistan who has become one of the most sought-after T20 bowlers in franchise cricket worldwide. The 25-year-old from Nangarhar made his first-class debut in 2018 and quickly established himself as a wicket-taking threat, with 89 wickets in just 17 matches at an average of 21.86, including five five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket match hauls. His international career includes Test, ODI, and T20I appearances, with his best performances coming in the shortest format where he has taken 17 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 14.17. Qais has been a globetrotting T20 mercenary, representing numerous franchises across the IPL, BBL, CPL, PSL, ILT20, and the Hundred, amassing over 200 T20 wickets with a best of 5 for 18.
