Kamil Mishara is a fluent left-handed opening batter from Colombo who has progressed through Sri Lanka’s age-group system to become a regular in the national white-ball setup. The 25-year-old, educated at Mahanama College and Royal College, Colombo, made his first-class debut as a 15-year-old in 2017 and has since amassed over 3,500 runs at an impressive average of 46.94 in the longer format, including nine centuries. His international breakthrough came in 2022 with a T20I debut against Australia, and he has since represented Sri Lanka across formats, featuring in both ODIs and T20Is. Mishara’s aggressive approach at the top of the order has made him a valuable asset in T20 cricket, where he has scored over 1,200 runs at a strike rate of 138.77, including eight half-centuries. His ability to play spin and pace with equal comfort, combined with his clean striking, marks him as a key figure in Sri Lanka’s batting lineup for the future.
