Father - Nem Chand, Mother- Rajni Jurel & Sister - Neeru Jurel
Dhruv Jurel is an Indian wicketkeeper batter who has worked hard to reach where he is today. Born in Agra, he comes from a lower-middle-class family. His father is a Kargil war veteran who initially did not want him to play cricket. Jurel kept his passion a secret until his father saw a newspaper mentioning a cricketer with the same name. Since then, Jurel has never looked back.
He led India to victory in the Under-19 Asia Cup in 2019 and was vice-captain for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. In first-class cricket, he scored a massive 249 runs in just his sixth match for Uttar Pradesh. He made his Test debut for India against England in 2024 and impressed everyone with a match-winning 90 in Ranchi. In the IPL, Jurel plays for Rajasthan Royals, who have trusted him enough to retain him for 14 crore rupees ahead of the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Dhruv Jurel is a wicketkeeper batter. He keeps wickets behind the stumps and bats right-handed in the middle order.
He plays for the Rajasthan Royals (RR). The team retained him for 14 crore rupees ahead of both the 2025 and 2026 IPL seasons.
He made his Test debut for India against England in Rajkot during the 2024 series. Later that same year, he made his T20I debut on India's tour of Zimbabwe.
In only his sixth first-class match, he scored 249 runs for Uttar Pradesh against Nagaland in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season.
His journey is inspiring because he came from a lower-middle-class family and his father, an army veteran, was against him playing cricket. His mother sold her gold chain to buy his first kit. Jurel kept his cricket dreams hidden until his performances spoke for themselves.
