Auqib Nabi is a right-arm medium pace bowler from Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir. Known as the ‘Baramulla Express’, he became famous after two brilliant Ranji Trophy seasons where he took 104 wickets. The 2025-26 season was special. He picked up 60 wickets in just 17 innings at an average of 12.65 and helped Jammu and Kashmir win their first ever Ranji Trophy title. Nabi grew up wanting to play football, but his love for fast bowling changed that. Despite having no proper cricket ground near his home, he worked hard and became the best bowler for his state. He now also bowls well in white-ball cricket and was bought by Delhi Capitals for the IPL at a price of 8.40 crore rupees.
