Finding FIB hardware is a required step during the ULP – Intelligence mission. You need to collect four hardware pieces from secured FIB locations, and the items do not spawn in fixed spots. If you do not know where to look, you can waste a lot of time and trigger unwanted police attention. This guide explains every possible location clearly, using only the mission information, so you can move fast and stay focused.
Where to Find Hardware at FIB Sites in GTA Online
During the mission, hardware spawns across two different FIB locations. These are the FIB Headquarters and the FIB Depot. Each location contains multiple possible spawn points, but only a limited number of items will actually appear. You should always check the most efficient spots first and leave once the required items are collected.
FIB Headquarters Hardware Locations
Upon gaining access to the FIB Headquarters building, take the lift to the top floor where the main office is located. The entire main office area and the adjacent rooms are the spots where all the possible hardware to spawn is located.
As soon as you get off the lift, take a left and go through the waiting area into the first office. There, inspect the area on the floor by the desk. FIB hardware may be inside the white box located here.
Go back to the elevator space, take a left again, but this time move on to the furthest office on that side. In this room, peek behind the desk. A box put there can spawn a tablet which will be counted as hardware.
Now, moving from the elevator, go to the right into the common office area where several agents are already doing their work. Walk into the meeting room that is close to the server room. Check at the end of the table for a briefcase that is not locked. If hardware happens to be in this place, it would go into the case.
Last but not least, take a tour to the server room, which is situated at the far right corner of the floor. There is a small desk at the back of the room. A possible spawn for hardware is on top of that desk, so check it out.
The FIB Headquarters will only have two items of hardware that will appear. You may certainly leave as soon as you spot both of them.
FIB Depot Hardware Locations
Before entering the FIB Depot, circle the building and locate the fuse boxes. There are two, and they can appear on walls or the roof. Disabling them helps prevent alarms and reduces resistance.
Inside the depot, move toward the back left area of the building. Near a parked van, you will see three metal shelves. Check the middle shelf, as this is a common spawn point for FIB hardware.
Turn around and look across the room to find a desk with three computer monitors. If hardware spawns here, it will be placed on the right side of the desk.
The final possible location is near the exit of the depot. Look to the left for another desk with three monitors. This time, the hardware is hidden underneath the desk, so check carefully before moving on.
Just like the headquarters, only two hardware items will spawn inside the FIB Depot. Leave as soon as you collect them.

You do not need to search every location. Once you collect four total hardware pieces across both sites, the objective completes. Move quickly, avoid unnecessary fights, and focus only on confirmed spawn points to finish the mission efficiently.
