How to Get Expedition 2 in ARC Raiders: Phase & Requirements Guide

Arc Raiders All Expedition 2 Requirements

Expedition 2 in ARC Raiders is a long-term project that gives you extra skill points and special rewards. You do not unlock it instantly. You must meet certain conditions and complete every required phase before you can join it. If you decide to join Expedition 2, your character will be wiped, so you should only do this if you are ready to start again and rebuild your progress.

Arc Raiders: All Expedition 2 Requirements

Expedition 2 has been divided into five different phases. Each phase must be completed before proceeding to the next one. The majority of the items that you need cannot be made or recycled, thus forcing you to get them from the Topside locations through looting.

The game has made it easier for you to track the items you need. When the tracking is on, the significant loot comes up with an eye icon, thus you can easily avoid missing what you need.

You have to be quite careful when collecting these items since many of them are in locations that are dangerous and where the ARC machines and raider enemies are located.

Expedition 2 Phase 1 Requirements

Phase one is centered around the basic materials and ARC-related resources. The number of common items you must have is huge, thus the phase consists of constant looting instead of rare drops.

Items needed to be collected are Metal Parts, Plastic Parts, ARC Alloy, and Steel Springs. Since ARC Alloy is connected with the ARC enemies, you will have to defeat them and get the loot, rather than simply looting the containers around. Steel Springs come from industrial loot, which means that factories and similar places will be crucial during this phase.

As soon as you have turned in all of the required quantities, you can move on to Phase 2.

Expedition 2 Phase 2 Requirements

The second phase introduces items from medical, commercial, electrical, and industrial categories. This phase pushes you to explore more varied locations instead of farming one area.

You need Durable Cloth, Wires, Electrical Components, and Cooling Coils. Durable Cloth is usually found in medical and commercial loot areas, while Wires and Electrical Components come from electrical and technological sources. Cooling Coils are industrial items and are much rarer than most items in this phase.

This phase may take longer than Phase 1 because some items have lower spawn rates.

Expedition 2 Phase 3 Requirements

Phase 3 is where rare and Exodus-related items begin to appear. This phase is often slower because fewer locations can drop what you need.

You must collect Light Bulbs, Batteries, Shredder Gyros, and one Exodus Module. Batteries appear in technological and electrical loot pools, while Shredder Gyros are tied to ARC enemies. The Exodus Module is especially important because it only appears in Exodus locations.

This phase encourages careful planning since Exodus loot areas are limited and dangerous.

Expedition 2 Phase 4 Requirements

Phase 4 is the most difficult item-based phase. Every required item here is rare and often tied to high-risk zones.

You must turn in Frequency Modulation Boxes, Advanced Electrical Components, Ion Sputters, and Leaper Pulse Units. Ion Sputters and Frequency Modulation Boxes are Exodus items, meaning you must farm specific Exodus areas. Advanced Electrical Components are harder to find than standard electrical items, and Leaper Pulse Units come from ARC enemies.

Most players spend the most time on this phase because all items are uncommon and contested by other players.

Expedition 2 Phase 5 Requirements

The final phase does not require finding specific items. Instead, you must sell items for coins. What matters here is the total value sold, not the individual items.

You need to sell combat items, survival items, provisions, and materials until each category reaches its required coin value. Any item counts as long as it belongs to the correct category. This phase rewards players who loot consistently and manage their stash well.

Once all four selling goals are completed, Expedition 2 preparation is finished.

Completing Expedition 2 Requirements

After completing all five phases, you do not immediately reset your character. You must wait for the Expedition 2 departure window, which opens in February 2026. When the window opens, you can choose whether to join Expedition 2 or not.

If you join, your character progress, stash, upgrades, and quests will reset. In return, you gain access to exclusive rewards, extra skill points, cosmetics, and additional stash space. If you do not feel ready, you can delay joining and continue playing normally until you decide.
