Crimson Desert Obsession and Madness Puzzle Guide

Crimson Desert Obsession and Madness Puzzle Guide
Key Takeaways
  • If you go straight from pillar to pillar instead of trying things at random , the puzzle becomes easy .
  • Axiom Force is more about controlling platform movement step by step than solving
  • The last climb is designed around Force Palm, not stamina
  • Strong aerial movement lets you skip most of the puzzle but it is not the safest option

In the Crimson Desert Obsession and Madness section you are dropped into a floating Abyss and it depends on how well you control movement and understand Axiom Force to progress. The route is unmarked and the trick is not explained clearly in the game.

Once you get the hang of how the system works, the whole sequence is a lot easier to handle.

This puzzle is all about pillar control and Axiom Force. When activated, each large pillar is able to attract floating platforms to it. It’s not about solving anything complex. You just walk from platform to platform making a path.

The trouble is mainly trying to get ahead. That won’t work here. The puzzle works best if you take your time and work your way from one pillar to the next. Head to the entrance, activate a nearby pillar and pull your platform to the middle. Repeat the same process moving outward from there.

That’s the core loop behind the Obsession-and-Madness Crimson Desert puzzle. And as soon as you go that way the way opens up naturally.

You start on a floating platform close to the entrance to the Abyss. From here, use Axiom Force on a control point nearby and choose the middle pillar. When you turn it on, your platform moves toward the center.

  1. When you get to the middle, step onto another platform that is linked to the next pillar. Use Axiom Force again and move out one layer.
  2. You don’t need to try out different combinations. If you keep picking the next logical pillar in your path, the puzzle will work in a straight line.
  3. Getting to the last pillar is only half of what you need to do. Most runs fall apart when they try to climb it.
  4. Trying to climb normally uses up too much energy too quickly. The game expects you to use Force Palm while you’re in the air. If you jump and chain several Force Palms together, you can reach the wall without needing to upgrade your stamina.
  5. This makes everything different. You can easily climb the pillar without having to work on your stamina. If you run out of energy, recharge it and do the jump sequence again.
  6. When you get to the top, go to the middle platform where the mechanism is. You won’t be able to see the interaction here unless you go about it the right way.
  7. You have to jump and hit the mechanism with Force Palm. This starts the last sequence and finishes the goal that was linked to the rift.

This whole section leads up to that one interaction. The mission ends when it’s done, and progress continues.
