Harmer, Taijul Islam & Nawaz Nominated for ICC Men’s Player of the Month for November
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the three nominees for the Men’s Player of the Month award for November, featuring standout performers from South Africa, Bangladesh, and Pakistan across Test and white-ball formats.
1. Simon Harmer (South Africa) – The seasoned off-spinner was the architect of South Africa’s historic 2-0 Test series victory in India, their first in the country in 25 years. Harmer claimed a staggering 17 wickets at an average of just 8.94 across the two Tests. His wizardry included a match-defining 6/37 in the second Test, earning him the Player of the Series award.
2. Taijul Islam (Bangladesh) – The left-arm spinner was the driving force behind Bangladesh’s 2-0 Test series win against Ireland at home. Finishing as the leading wicket-taker, Taijul picked up 13 wickets at an average of 26.30, consistently breaking partnerships and securing the Player of the Series honour for his pivotal role.
3. Mohammad Nawaz (Pakistan) – The all-rounder enjoyed a prolific month during Pakistan’s triumphant tri-series at home against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. In ODIs, he scored 104 runs and took 4 wickets. In T20Is, he added 52 runs and claimed a remarkable 11 wickets at 12.72, including a match-winning 3/17 in the final, which earned him the Player of the Series award.
