India A’s Australia Tour Hit by Injuries: Patil & Mishra Out, Bhatia, Gujjar, Rawat Step In – Full Squad Updates
India A’s upcoming multi-format tour of Australia starting August 7 has suffered a blow with all-rounder Shreyanka Patil and leg spinner Priya Mishra ruled out due to injuries. Patil’s Return-to-Play clearance has been delayed, pushing her progress beyond the tour start, while Mishra is side-lined with an undisclosed injury. Both remain under the care of the BCCI Medical Team at the Centre of Excellence.
In response, selectors have made strategic replacements. Wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia has been added to the one-day squad, reflecting the team’s focus on nurturing talent ahead of the Women’s ODI World Cup. Spinners Dhara Gujjar and Prema Rawat, initially part of selective formats, have now been retained across multiple squads to fill the gap left by the injured players.
The tour schedule includes three T20 matches, three one-day games, and a four-day match against Australia A, running from August 7 to August 24. The series offers valuable experience for emerging players.
