Sunbrand is a powerful Unique flail made for Paladin builds that rely on Heaven’s Fury. If you want this weapon, you need to know where it can drop and how to improve your chances. You cannot craft or buy Sunbrand directly, so your progress depends on farming the right content in Diablo 4.

Where to Get Sunbrand in Diablo 4
1. Farming Varshan and Belial
Defeating endgame bosses offers the best opportunity to obtain Sunbrand since he has a higher drop rate than the others. Varshan can be located and summoned (using Malignant Hearts) at the Tree of Whispers.
Varshan can be farmed repeatedly and is a favourable target for getting Paladin Uniques.
If you’ve already completed higher-tier boss fights, Belial is another viable option and offers a greater chance to drop high-tier Uniques, including Sunbrand.
2. Nightmare Dungeons and World Activities
Sunbrand can also drop from chests and foes in high-end gameplay. Nightmare Dungeons in particular, reward players with Uniques more often than non-nightmare content and are a good choice. Farming dungeons yields better loot the higher the tier is.
Also consider World Bosses, Gathering Legions, and similar activities to spawn high amounts of elites (which can drop Sunbrand) and obtain good loot. This activity is less target-farmed than boss farming but is good if you want to be more varied.
3. Helltide Chests and Obol Gambling
Helltide events are another valid source. While a Helltide is active, you can collect Cinders and open chests. Any of these chests can drop Uniques, including Sunbrand, though the drop is random and not guaranteed.
You can also gamble for flails using the Purveyor of Curiosities with Murmuring Obols. This method is risky because the chances are low, but it is still worth doing if you have spare Obols and nothing else to spend them on.
