If you play outside the U.S., Winterfest ends at different local times on January 5 or early January 6, depending on where you live. For example, players in Europe will see Winterfest end in the afternoon, while players in Australia will lose access late at night or just after midnight.
No matter your region, once January 5 passes in the morning (ET), Winterfest is over globally.
What Happens When Winterfest Ends?
Once Winterfest ends, all holiday content is removed at the same time. This includes:
- The Winterfest Cabin, meaning you can no longer open presents
- All Winterfest quests and XP rewards
- Holiday-themed map decorations and snowy locations
- Winterfest loot items like Icy Feet, Holiday Presents, and festive weapons
If you have not opened all 14 presents by then, you permanently miss the ones you skipped. Presents do not stack, so logging in daily matters.
What You Should Do Before Winterfest Ends
If you want everything Winterfest offers, you should log in before January 5 and do three things. First, open any remaining presents in the Winterfest Cabin. Second, complete Winterfest quests to grab the extra XP. Third, jump into Battle Royale while holiday items and the festive map are still active.
If you wait until after January 5, all of it will be gone.
