Step 1: Fetch Water from the Well

The first objective of the Quest requires you to interact with the well behind Granny Yang.
Approach the well to fetch water. After doing this, the situation changes and Granny Yang will suddenly be found sitting nearby in poor condition.
Step 2: Heal Granny Yang

Once you locate Granny Yang near the well, activate Wind Sense to detect the illness and use the Healer profession ability to treat her. If you do not want to complete the healing minigame, you can choose the quick treatment option instead.
After she recovers, Granny Yang will ask you to follow her toward a nearby group of merchants.

While progressing through the Where Winds Meet Land of Gold Quest, you will encounter a group of NPCs arguing in the abandoned bazaar.
Speak with Shi Hedan and initiate a Gift of Gab debate. Winning the dialogue challenge settles the dispute between the merchants.
After the argument ends, talk with the following characters to gather clues about the legendary land of gold:

Their discussion suggests that an old merchant ledger may reveal the truth.
Step 4: Find the Poplar Leaf Ledger

The next stage of the investigation requires locating the lost record book connected to the merchants.
Follow the Quest marker toward a crate where you will first find Kang’s journal. After collecting it, move to the damaged building nearby.
Drop through the opening in the roof to enter the room below and collect the Poplar Leaf Ledger. Once you have the ledger, return to Kang Mingluo and show her what you discovered.
Step 5: Search the Bazaar for Clues

After examining the ledger, Kang Mingluo will ask you to search the surrounding area for additional traces.
Visit the marked locations around Poplar Bazaar and collect the objects connected to the old merchants. These items provide more information about the trade routes and history connected to the legendary land of gold.
Deliver all collected items back to Kang Mingluo to continue the Where Winds Meet Land of Gold Quest.
Step 6: Climb the Poplar Tree

Your next objective sends you to the massive Poplar Tree located at the edge of the bazaar.
Use wall running and climbing to reach the highest branches. At the top, open the Old Worn-Out Box and collect another journal. After reading it, your character will automatically return to the camp where the other NPCs are waiting.
Step 7: Investigate the Wells in Poplar Bazaar

During this stage of the Land of Gold Quest, climb to the roof of a nearby building and observe the wells around the bazaar to locate the final clue.
After completing the observation step, speak with the group again.
Step 8: Follow Granny Yang to the Final Well

Before the investigation ends, Granny Yang suddenly leaves the group.
Follow her toward the base of the Poplar Tree where another well is located. Near this well, you will find a notebook “Kang’s Journal V” that reveals the final piece of the story.
Interacting with the notebook triggers the final cutscene and completes the Where Winds Meet Land of Gold Quest.
