Genshin Impact Luna V Patch Notes: New Character, Miliastra Wonderland Update, and More

Genshin Impact Luna V Patch Notes

Genshin Impact Luna V, titled Song of the Welkin Moon: Variation – Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind, launched on February 25, 2026 in the game. It is one of the most content heavy updates in recent memory.

The headline addition is Varka finally becoming playable, but that is only part of the story. Miliastra Wonderland receives a major expansion, Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater rotate into new seasons, Genius Invokation TCG gets fresh cards and balance tweaks, and dozens of system optimizations polish the overall experience.

Here is a clear breakdown of everything that matters in the Luna V patch notes.

Genshin Impact Luna V: New 5 Star Character Varka and Exclusive Weapon

Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, joins as a 5 star Anemo claymore DPS. His kit revolves around dual wielding claymores, allowing him to deal Anemo damage alongside a second Element that matches a teammate in the party.

When he taps his Elemental Skill, he enters a special state where:

  • One weapon is infused with Anemo
  • The second weapon mirrors a teammate’s Element
  • Normal Attack damage increases
  • After landing enough hits, he can unleash a stronger Skill or Charged Attack

His Elemental Burst delivers two slashes, one Anemo based and one based on a teammate’s Element. Holding his Skill lets him leap forward, and its cooldown is reduced further if Mondstadt characters are in the party.

After progressing through Hexenzirkel related quests, Varka unlocks Hexerei: Secret Rite, enhancing his Skill and allowing Normal Attacks to reduce its cooldown.

Luna V also introduces his signature 5 star claymore, Gest of the Mighty Wolf. It boosts Attack Speed and stacks damage bonuses through Four Winds’ Hymn. When Hexerei is active, each stack also increases Critical Damage. The weapon is available through a limited event wish.

Completing his associated World Quest rewards an exclusive weapon appearance, Unbreakable: Durandarte.

Miliastra Wonderland receives a substantial expansion in Genshin Impact Luna V.

New cosmetic sets come through Event Odes, Chronicles of The Realms and Limited Shop Rotations. Some previously available limited sets such as Lucky Gallop and Noble Grace will return for limited time periods. The Raiment Collection event will present the Owl Envoy Set.

The Public Lobby Theme has changed to Skyward Citadel: Solemn Admonition and a second theme, Skyward Citadel: Magnificent Pillars, can now be unlocked via Miliastra Pass. The most drastic change functionally would be the addition of the full voice chat system. Players have access to:

  • Lobby Voice Chat
  • Party Voice Chat
  • Room Voice Chat
  • In Match Communication

Players can adjust their volume, microphone and mute settings individually. The ability to report players for Voice Chat Violations has now been added.

History play records have been added to the Wonderland Collection, sorting options were updated and improvements have been made to the user interface. The cosmetic components, expressions and layout designs within this mode have been updated.

Beginning on March 16, a new cycle of the Spiral Abyss will begin with unique bonuses being added to floors 11 and 12. Floor 11 will receive an Anemo and Cryo damage bonus of 60% and floor 12 will receive an Anemo damage bonus for the first half and a Normal Attack Cryo bonus for the second half.

Each floor will also be rewarded with a special Abyssal Moon Blessing called the Windlash Moon, which will reward all players who create a Swirl reaction with a stack based shockwave that does True damage to enemies.

Additionally, on March 1, the first season of the Luna V in Imaginarium Theater will launch, and will feature Electro, Cryo, and Anemo characters. On April 1, the second season of Luna V will begin with Hydro, Cryo and Geo characters. Players will also be able to acquire Fantastic Blessings in the Opening of the Characters phase, and selected characters will gain an additional Thespian Trick.

The TCG update will include new character cards including Ineffa, Mika, and Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant, and new Action Cards will be available in the Cat’s Tail shop. For players who enjoy competing and scoring their highest, the Temper will return to the Forge Realm and can now present players with an endless swarm in which the player must defeat continuous waves of enemies to earn a high score.

Lastly, to allow for more balance in the game, several adjustments to HP values, Elemental Dice costs, and card effects will be implemented to change what happens in the competitive arena.

Genshin Impact Luna V: New Enemy, System Optimizations, and Bug Fixes

The Radiant Moongecko arrives in Wavechaser Plain; it can trap players inside of a Radiant Cocoon, causing them to have to heal themselves to full health in order to escape from that cocoon. Additionally, if you destroy its Moonstone Anchor, it will not be able to execute its Voidstep Ability, which will interrupt both its powerful Voidstep Attack and also lower its resistance.

The Serenitea Pot will now feature a new Realm Layout known as Shadowflit Archipelago, and furnishing sets for Nod Krai characters will be added, while older blueprint blueprints will receive permanent pricing reductions.

The Training Guide will now allow you to have up to 4 goals at once to level up, as well as integrating directly with Domain tracking. Artifact Reshape will have implementation improvements for UI and confirmations.

Genshin Impact Luna V will address many problems related to quest progression, such as bugs in enemy behavior and visuals, audio inconsistencies, and issues with co-op. In addition, the boss respawn logic has been improved for smoother farming.
