Multi-map scavenger hunts are the bread and butter of extraction shooters, and ARC Raiders is no exception. Tian Wen, Speranza’s resident quartermaster and gun nut, will eventually hand you the What We Left Behind quest. This mission demands you deploy across three entirely different maps: Buried City, Dam Battlegrounds, and Spaceport, to track down hidden First Wave Raider camps.
Here is the most crucial piece of intel before you drop: you do not need to extract with any quest items for this mission. Once you interact with the objective, your progress is permanently locked in. Leave your high-tier gear in the stash, run a free loadout, and treat these deployments as pure smash-and-grab operations.

ARC Raiders What We Left Behind Quest Phase 1: Buried City: The Parking Garage Breach
Your first stop is the Buried City. You are pushing the Parking Garage located in the northwestern quadrant, near Marano Park. Be warned: this POI is a notorious hot drop for players looking to scavenge car parts, so expect contact.
- Locate Door 01: Head to the first floor of the garage. Tucked in the southwest corner, you will find a locked door distinctly labeled “01”.
- Breach and Drop: Ensure the sector is clear, breach the door, and immediately take the zipline down into the sand-filled sub-level.
- Loot the Camp: In the center of this underground makeshift camp, you need to interact with two specific raider containers: a long weapon-style case, and a duffel bag hidden just behind a sheet of corrugated metal.
Once you’ve popped both, you can either push for an exfil or take a glorious death. Your quest step is done.
ARC Raiders What We Left Behind Quest Phase 2: Dam Battlegrounds: South Swamp Outpost
This is the easiest leg of the journey. Deploy into the Dam Battlegrounds and rotate to the South Swamp Outpost on the far western edge of the map, near Water Treatment Control.
This area is generally dead quiet. Walk straight into the massive, round, cylindrical building in the center of the outpost. Look for a table pushed against the wall; you will see a stack of documents marked with the signature yellow quest icon. Interact with the papers, and you are ready for Phase 3.
ARC Raiders What We Left Behind Quest Phase 3: Spaceport: Bilguun’s Hideout
Spaceport can be a navigational nightmare, and Bilguun’s Hideout trips a lot of players up because of its verticality.
You need to head toward the center of the map, directly east of Container Storage. You are looking for the massive cement wall. Bilguun’s Hideout is a rusted metal habitation unit literally hanging off the side of this structure.
You have two ways up:
- The Ladder: Look for the bright yellow ladder directly beneath the hideout.
- The Scramble: Run slightly north or south along the wall to find broken, collapsed sections that act as a ramp to the top.
Once you are inside the shack, look to your left. Interact with the yellow-highlighted notes resting there to finalize the objective. From here, either extract or let the zone take you, then head back to Speranza to debrief with Tian Wen and claim your rewards.

You died immediately after looting the containers in the Buried City garage. Do you have to do it again?
No. Because this quest requires you to search or interact rather than physically extract an item (like a blueprint or a hard drive), your progress is saved the second the interaction bar completes.
You are at the Parking Garage but you can't find the raider camp. Is it bugged?
You are likely searching the main floors. The camp is subterranean. You must find the door labeled “01” on the ground floor, breach it, and take the zipline down into the buried section of the garage.
Bilguun's Hideout is crawling with snipers in my lobby. Is there a safer way to get the notes?
If the top of the wall is too hot, avoid the “scramble” ramps on the north and south ends. Use the yellow ladder directly underneath the hideout. It drops you right at the doorway, minimizing your exposure to the massive sightlines across the Spaceport.
