Dropping into Stella Montis is always a gamble. Between the claustrophobic corridors and the high probability of running into a sweaty squad camping the lobby, it’s not exactly a vacation spot. But if you want to progress Tian Wen’s storyline in the new Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update, you have no choice.
The “Stable Housing” quest sends you deep into the Security Bridge to crack a safe and extract with the Project Heartwood Blueprints. The catch? You have to do the entire sequence in a single round. If you die without securing the loot, you are starting from scratch.
Here is the no-nonsense, step-by-step breakdown of how to get in, get the blueprints, and get out alive.
Stable Housing Quest Overview
| Quest Requirement | Details |
| Location | Stella Montis (Security Bridge Stairwell) |
| Safe Code | 2746 (Found on the 3rd-floor notice board) |
| Objective Item | Project Heartwood Blueprints |
| Survival Tip | Bring a Safe Pocket to secure the blueprints upon pickup. |
| Rewards | 5x Seeker Grenades, 5x Lure Grenades, 1x Legendary Snaphook |
Step 1: Push the Security Bridge (3rd Floor)
Once you drop in, make a beeline for the Northeast corner of the Stella Montis map. You are looking for the Security Bridge, which is a highly contested four-story tower connected to the main Lobby.
Head up the East-side stairwell until you hit the third floor—you can’t miss it, there is a massive painted “3” on the wall. Behind the stair banisters, enter the small side room. In the back-right corner, you’ll spot a small safe with an android’s head resting on top of it. Interact with it. The game will tell you it’s locked and prompt you to find an access card.
Step 2: The 4th Floor Printer (The Bait)
Arc Raiders loves to make you run around. The quest objective will update, telling you to print a keycard in the control room directly above you. Run up the stairs to the fourth floor (look for the “4” next to the door). Head inside and interact with the Access Card Printer. Unsurprisingly, the printer instantly malfunctions and breaks. Don’t panic; this is a scripted event. Your objective will now vaguely tell you to search for “alternate ways” to open the safe.
Step 3: Find the Safe Code & Unlock
Head straight back down the stairs to the 3rd-floor room where the safe is located. As soon as you walk through the door, stop and look immediately to your right.
There is a notice board hanging on the wall. Walk up to it, and you’ll get a prompt to “Inspect Notes.” Your Raider will spot a sticky note with the code 2746 scribbled on it. Turn around, interact with the safe again, punch in the code, and grab the Project Heartwood Blueprints.
Step 4: Extract the Blueprints
This is the most critical part of the run. These blueprints are a physical, drop-on-death mission item. If you get beamed by another player on your way to the exfil, the item is gone, and your run is wasted.
Immediately place the blueprints into your Safe Pocket. If your Safe Pocket is full, make room. Once they are secured, you can extract back to Speranza using your preferred route without sweating every corner. Deliver the goods to Tian Wen to wrap up the quest and claim your Legendary Snaphook.

FAQ:
Do I actually have to go up to the 4th floor, or can I just type '2746' into the safe immediately?
You have to do the steps. The Arc Raiders quest logic is sequential. The prompt to inspect the notice board on the 3rd floor will not spawn until you have successfully interacted with (and broken) the printer on the 4th floor. Don’t try to sequence-break it; you’ll just waste time.
What happens if I die before extracting?
If the Project Heartwood Blueprints are in your standard inventory, they drop on death, and you have to reboot the entire quest in your next match. If you put them in your Safe Pocket, they stay with you, and you can simply turn them in to Tian Wen back at Speranza even after dying.
Are the rewards actually worth the hassle of a Stella Montis run?
Absolutely. The grenades are nice filler, but the real prize is the Legendary Snaphook. It’s an infinite-use grapple that completely changes your mobility and flanking routes in PvPvE engagements. It is a top-tier piece of gear.
