Rajat Patidar Adds Another Title as Central Zone Lift Duleep Trophy 2025

The Duleep Trophy 2025 ended with Central Zone lifting the trophy after a six-wicket win over South Zone in the final. It was another big moment for Rajat Patidar, who has already enjoyed success as a captain for RCB this year.
Rajat Paridar and Central Zone’s Commanding Performance
Central Zone stamped their authority right from Day 1 of the final. Bowling first, they bundled South Zone out for just 149.
Saransh Jain also continued his brilliant run by claiming yet another five-wicket haul, while Kumar Kartikeya backed him up with four wickets.
In reply, Central Zone put up a mammoth 511 runs in their first innings. Yash Rathod was the star of the show with a majestic 194, while Patidar struck a composed 101.
Danish Malewar and Saransh Jain also chipped in with important contributions to give their team a massive lead of over 350 runs.
Despite the early setback, South Zone showed grit in their second innings. Ankit Sharma (99), Andre Siddarth (84), and Ravichandran Smaran (67) all fought hard to push the game into the fifth day.
Key Highlights of Duleep Trophy 2025:
- Winners: Central Zone
- Final’s Hero: Rajat Patidar
- Title Count: 7th for Central Zone
- Tournament Format: Featuring top zonal teams in India
Their effort helped set Central Zone a target of 65 runs, but the deficit was simply too large to overcome. Rajat Patidar ended the campaign as the leading run-scorer, amassing 382 runs at an impressive average of 74.40. After leading the RCB in the IPL earlier this year to their first ever trophy, this win adds another significant milestone to Patidar’s growing reputation as a leader.
