New Zealand Announce T20 World Cup 2026 Squad
New Zealand have unveiled their 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with pace bowler Jacob Duffy earning his maiden World Cup selection on the back of a stellar 2025.
Duffy, who claimed 81 international wickets across formats last year, headlines a pace attack that includes experienced campaigners Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, and Adam Milne. The squad will be led by spin-bowling all-rounder Mitchell Santner, with Ish Sodhi as the other frontline spinner.

In the batting department, the explosive Finn Allen is set to open alongside wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert. The middle order features the experienced trio of Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips, and the returning Daryl Mitchell, alongside the all-round capabilities of Rachin Ravindra and James Neesham.
Notably, Kyle Jamieson has been named as the travelling reserve. Head coach Rob Walter indicated that Jamieson could feature in the tournament, as both Henry and Ferguson are expected to take short-term paternity leave during the event.
Walter expressed confidence in the balance of the squad, stating, “I’m really happy with the skills and experience of this squad… We’ve got plenty of power and skill in the batting, quality bowlers who can adapt to conditions, plus five all-rounders who all bring something slightly different.”
New Zealand are placed in Group D alongside Afghanistan, South Africa, UAE, and Canada. They will begin their campaign against Afghanistan in Chennai on February 8.
