Bangladesh Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Squad

Bangladesh have announced their 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Nigar Sultana Joty will lead the team. This will be their seventh appearance in the tournament.

The squad looks very similar to the one that played in the Global Qualifier earlier this year. Bangladesh finished first in the qualifier without losing a single match to secure their spot in the World Cup. Nahida Akter will be the vice captain.

Taj Nehar has been added to the squad to boost the batting. She has played eight T20Is before.

Nigar Sultana Joty (c), Nahida Akter (vc), Sharmin Akter Supta, Sobhana Mostary, Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, Rabeya Khan, Fahima Khatun, Fariha Islam Trisna, Marufa Akter, Shanjida Akther Maghla, Sultana Khatun, Dilara Akter, Juairiya Ferdous, Taj Nehar.

Preparation and Schedule

The team will leave for Edinburgh on May 25. They will play a tri series there against Scotland and Netherlands. After that they will go to Loughborough for warm up matches.

Bangladesh will start their World Cup campaign against Netherlands on June 14 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

17 June – Australia vs Bangladesh (Headingley, Leeds)
20 June – Pakistan vs Bangladesh (Hampshire Bowl, Southampton)
25 June – India vs Bangladesh (Old Trafford, Manchester)
28 June – South Africa vs Bangladesh (Lord’s, London)
