The Katana is hidden inside the Sanctum of Oblation, an island dungeon on the eastern side of Delesyia. Getting there can be rough early on. Enemies patrol the area. If you are underprepared do not initiate in every fight.
Depending on your story progress, the Sanctum may either be filled with enemies or completely cleared.

Enter the Sanctum from the eastern side. As you step inside, turn left into the main area, then quickly take a right into a narrow corridor. Stay close to the left wall as you move forward. There is a hidden gap in the wall that leads to a staircase going downward.

At the bottom, take the straight path first. At the end of that route, you will see a treasure chest behind a gate, right next to a lamp. Get close to it and activate it. This step is mandatory because it triggers mechanisms that open specific locked paths inside the Sanctum.
After activating the lamp, the nearby gate will open, giving you access to the main treasure room. That chest contains the Red Needle Sword, but not the weapon you are looking for.

The Katana is placed in a separate room that only becomes accessible after the lamp is triggered. Turn around and go back up the stairs toward the Sanctum entrance. On your way back, you will notice that a previously locked door is now open. Enter this newly accessible room to find a chest containing the Red Needle Katana.
