Undertaker’s Remembrance is one of the simpler storylines in Nightreign, but it has a few steps that are easy to misunderstand, especially when the quest sends you to the wrong location for the Scholar.
The Remembrance is divided across three chapters, and each one asks you to complete a short task either inside the Roundtable Hold or inside a Shifting Earth event.
Here is a clear breakdown of how to complete every stage of this Remembrance and how to unlock Undertaker’s cosmetic skin and relic rewards.
How to Complete Undertaker’s Remembrance in Elden Ring Nightreign?
Chapter 3: Defeat the Nightfarers
1. Roundtable Hold visit
The first Remembrance is activated when Undertaker hits Chapter 3 in her journal. At the very start of the memory, you find yourself in Roundtable Hold and the Iron Menial is standing in front of you. Talk to him and the fight is on!
2. Eliminate the Nightfarer
Once you have taken him down, you need to take out the other Nightfarers that are hiding around the Hold. Each of them is in their usual place: one is located by the journals, two are in the main hall, one is by the Visual Codex, and the last two are in the chapel.
3. Confront The Iron Menial
As soon as the last duo is defeated, the vision comes to a close and you find yourself back in the chapel. The Iron Menial is there once more. Have a word with him and continue the chat until he walks away.
After that, look up at the wall behind where he was standing. There is a purple mass that is glowing and has stuck to the wall. Hit it to shatter it, and then interact with the residue that is left.
4. Meet the Scholar
Your next job is to meet the Scholar. He appears in the Hold’s garden area. Speak with him until he hands you the Leather Monocle Case. This ends the first Remembrance and unlocks the next chapter.
Chapter 5: Locate the Scholar
1. Start The Second Remembrance
Once Undertaker reaches Chapter 5, you can start the second Remembrance. Begin by speaking with Duchess in the center of the Hold. After her dialogue ends, go to the chapel and offer a prayer at the front.
Then speak to the Iron Menial again. He sends you to “search for the Scholar in Limveld.” This instruction is misleading. The Scholar does not appear in the Limveld map; he appears in The Great Hollow Shifting Earth event.
2. Start An Expedition
An expedition should be started in the location where The Great Hollow is currently active. If the event is gone, use a Sovereign Sigil to activate it. Afterward, when the expedition starts, go to the big castle located in the northwest.
It’s not necessary to fight your way through the enemies to complete this task; you just have to get to the side of the inner walkway where the Scholar is stuck.
Through the main gate, move left in the courtyard, and use the jump pad to the balcony. From there, go inside the room, get on top of the hanging specimen in the center, and walk on the rafters.
A wall section that has been ruined permits you to go further into the building. The Scholar is the one who is to be found in the big crystal at the end of this way. Talk to him to receive the Primal Core as your reward.
3. End The Expedition
You can let the expedition end however you prefer. On returning to the Hold, find the Scholar in the chapel. Speak with him to receive the Night-Hued Glass and Bundled Paper. When you leave the memory circle, you also receive Undertaker’s Chalice.
Chapter 7: The Hidden Remembrance
The final Remembrance is not selected manually. It only appears once you reach Chapter 6 and defeat Heolstor the Nightlord while playing as Undertaker.
After the fight ends, you enter the sequence inside the keep where you normally finish a Night Aspect run. Before you interact with the corpse, check your pouch for an item called the Dismembered Finger.
You must drop this item on the ground beside the corpse. Undertaker will comment if you placed it correctly. Once she speaks, examine the corpse and end the run normally.
After the cutscene and credits, the game returns you to the Hold. Undertaker’s Remembrance Skin and the Glass Necklace relic appear automatically, and Chapter 7 unlocks in her journal.
