Ibrahim Zadran Blasts 177, Highest Individual Score in Champions Trophy History

Another day another thriller at the Champions Trophy 2025. In the 8th game of England vs Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran has proved everyone wrong by scoring a  staggering 177-run knock in just 146 deliveries. This brilliance has helped his team setting up a fighting total against the English team.
Ibrahim Zadran’s 177 is now the highest ever ODI score for an Afghan batter. Not only this his masterpiece broke several other records in the 50 over format. He is the only batter from Afghanistan to score a ton in both ICC World Cup and Champions Trophy. His 177 is the highest score in Champions Trophy History, also the highest one against England in an ICC event. The 23 year old has become the youngest score over 150 runs in an ICC championship.

After a huge defeat against South Africa in their first match, it is now a do-or-die situation for Afghanistan. Zadran has emerged as a saviour for his team, he now holds the record for the highest score in a ICC Champions Trophy game. Scoring 177 in just 146 balls he slammed 12 boundaries and 6 sixes over the fence. Later he was dismissed by Liam Livingston hitting a slog sweep on a lofted delivery.
